The most common service provided by Airsavings is the joint tender, which is the optimal method to leverage group purchasing power. In the few instances where joint tenders are not appropriate (specialized needs, for example), FQ tenders and reverse auctions are employed. |

THE JOINT TENDER |
Set-Up
Joint tender set-up takes about one month, during which time we: |
Contact each of our members individually to study their needs and objectives. |
If necessary, contract a consultant to assist a member in redefining specifications, cost target prices, or purchasing strategy. |
Gather selected volumes and specifications and confidentially validate consolidated draft with each member. If agreement cannot be reached on a particular set of specifications, a separated quotation request completes the draft. |
Sourcing
The sourcing process takes place in the two weeks immediately following approval of the tender draft. During this process, Airsavings: |
Makes contact with registered suppliers. |
Analyzes possible opportunities within applicable airports. |
Evaluates suppliers against members' requirements and for certification and compliance. |
Gives suppliers access to the tender and solicits an initial quote. |
Tender management
Managing the tender is an ongoing process that lasts about two weeks. Airsavings’ objectives over this time include: |
Negotiating with suppliers in order to achieve defined price objectives. |
Informing members of the tender's evolution on a day-to-day basis. |
Ensuring members can monitor the progress of the negotiations and compare quotes independently, if they so choose. |
Presenting the finalized tender award to the members for signing. Members contract directly with the supplier. |
Consulting on the award and arranging a meeting (if necessary) between members and suppliers. |
Contract management
Part of Airsavings' comprehensive service is support after the finalization of the joint tender. Post-tender, members enjoy the following Airsavings-supplied features: |
| |
An exhaustive analysis of the joint tender. |
Statistical tools which allow members to extract statistics and graphics about the tender. This greatly simplifies members' cost analysis and management throughout the life of the contract. |
An invoice reconciliation tool that provides a comparison of members' technical logs and suppliers' invoices. |
